For sewing supplies my favourite is Butterfly fabrics ( 79-81 CITY ROAD) they have every type of fabric that you can think of,plus a big table at the back where you can look at patterns. Only a few doors down is craft shop called sew & SEW (67 CITY ROAD) which has a selection of sewing notions as well as yarns, fabrics, and ribbons. The chairity shops on CITY ROAD AND ALBANY ROAD are also always worth a look out for a good bargain.
For paper crafts check out INKSPOTS which is in a converted church in CLIFTON STREET,
The city arcades also have some great bead shops like Claire Grove Buttons and crystals and ice bead shop.MILGI (213 CITY ROAD) run a craft vintage market on the 1st sunday of every month. They also run a £1 jumble sale on the 3rd sunday of the month.
Arcades are full of little quirky shops and cafes in the heart of cardiff. It is a must to have your photo taken in front of CARDIFF CASTLE.CARDIFF BAY is also great place for photos you can snap the WAL ES MILENNUIM CENTRE (bute place ) with its striking writing as well as the NORWEIGN CHURCH ( harbour drive )and any boats on the bay.
